Snap Class San Francisco Recap

7th February 2014

I’ve been able to teach myself some photography basics in the past thanks to the internet and helpful books, but the last thing I wanted was to leave my camera permanently stuck in AUTO MODE. Lucky for me Snap Class came to the rescue and I’m happy to report that it did not disappoint.

The class took place in a gorgeous, natural light filled studio in downtown SF beautifully staged by local event planners and florists.  We tackled food, interior, and floral vignettes and even played with confetti to celebrate the end of the day.  One of my favorite parts of the class was learning the secrets of Instagram photography.  I have a slight case of Instagram addiction so learning ways to improve my feed was a definite bonus.  Jessie and Kim were engaging, fun, and patient teachers who spoke passionately about photography and what they do.  It was also refreshing to meet and be around other students who didn’t judge me for taking a million pictures of my lunch while it grew cold because they were busy doing the same thing haha!  The class lasted all day but I hardly noticed because I was having so much fun.  I left feeling not only more confident about my photography and editing skills but also incredibly inspired and eager to use what I learned to grow and improve my blog.  It was an amazing experience and I hope to be able to take another one of their classes in the future. Three words- SNAP CLASS ROCKED.
